Extruders
BARREL DESIGN: Extruders are available in sizes from 1 to 6 inches. High and low boy, 24:1 and 30:1 LID, vented & non-vented, bi-metallic barrel extruders rated to 10,000 PSI maximum operating pressure with pressure-tap and rupture disc at discharge end.
BARREL HEATING: High performance heaters, wired for individual instrument control.
BARREL COOLING: Air cooling control including a motor driven blower for each zone assures uniform and positive temperature control during extrusion.
FEED SCREW: 4140 heat treated steel, Colmony hardened flights, chrome plated barrier design. Custom designed for high outputs and fast colour changes.
GEAR REDUCER: Heavy duty radial bearings with high capacity helical gears and heavy duty integral thrust bearing. Incorporated oil heat exchanger.
CONTROL PANEL: PID digital controllers for each barrel zone, Tachometer, Melt pressure gauge (OPTIONAL), Melt temperature indicator (OPTIONAL), Regenerative drive for top nip (OPTIONAL).
DRIVE: Solid state variable speed brushless DC drive and drip-proof enclosure with force ventilation ensures trouble free extruder operation
